We were a group of 8 staying at Harpa's just for one night but it was a great stopover. Finding the apartment was easy, parking out front, and gaining access was straightforward as it was well described ahead of time. The communal spaces were wonderful for our group, having 2 toilets/showers was very useful too. The beds were all super comfortable (my best sleep during our week away). We were staying the night on our way to Vik and explored local waterfalls but didn't really spend too long in Hella itself (though it is beautiful and there are things to do). 4 of us went to the Italian restaurant opposite the apartment and enjoyed a good meal (and fab tiramisu!).

Harpa’s home is beautiful, we only got to stay for one night, but it would have been a lovely base of operations for a trip. My family had a great time.

It was awesome! Easy self check in, clean and cozy. It really gives a vibe of a nice house inside. We had great sleeps on the bed and great food cooked in the kitchen! Even if only spoke through messages the staff was really friendly and helpful.

What a wonderful apartment for my family and I to get some much needed rest and relaxation. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen table was large enough for all 6 of us adults to sit together, eat dinner, and play games. Harpa was very responsive and made sure we enjoyed our stay. Should we ever travel back to Iceland, we will definitely stay in this apartment again. The Italian restaurant located immediate across the street was outstanding! The house is immaculately clean and very well equipped. Appearance is just as in the photos. Comfortable bed and bedding. Big bathroom with washer/dryer. We spent 4 nice days there to explore the area. The supermarket is a 2 minute walk away. I would stay here again.

Their one noteThis is not a place to stay in for the views, but rather for the interiors. We had the garden view apartment which did have some tree views outside, but also the ring road traffic nearby. The combination of comfort and convenience outweighs this one drawback.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The location was perfect for exploring Iceland’s South Coast, with the major attractions within easy driving distance. We were two families with four adults and four children, and the home had plenty of space for everyone to spread out comfortably. We especially loved spending our evenings playing games together after a full day of sightseeing. The house was spotless, well-maintained, and even better than the photos. Everything exceeded our expectations, and it truly felt like a home away from home. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area! Wonderful stay at Harpa's place and a great location for any South Coast adventures. It was spotless upon arrival with four comfortable bedrooms and plenty of space for our group of 7 to spread out. The showers have great pressure, beds are very comfortable, and the blackout shades made sleeping much easier. There is also a nice river view from the kitchen. We wish we could have spent more than one night, but hope to return soon.

We had a lovely stay at Harpa’s place in Hella. There were five of us and we had plenty of room to spread out and enjoy. It was a perfect jumping off point for exploring the Westman Islands and the south coast of Iceland. Highly recommend!

Our family of five felt right at home, and the space was very comfortable for everyone. The area was also nice and quiet, which made it very relaxing after long days of exploring Iceland. We especially loved the beautiful river next to the property, which added such a peaceful atmosphere to our stay. It was also super convenient to have restaurants, a grocery store, a gas station, and a bakery all within walking distance. The location was perfect for exploring Iceland, with many popular attractions only about an hour’s drive away. We were so happy to have found this gem and would absolutely love to stay here again if we visit Iceland in the future!

Harpa’s apartment had everything we need and more for our group of 6. Everything was provided to have a cozy stay. The two bathrooms and laundry/dryer combo machine was an extra plus for us ! Riverbank apartment is very cozy and comfortable place to stay! One of the best experiences in this trip~ 1. The location is very good between different hot spots, such as the golden waterfall and geysers, so convenient to stop by~ 2. The room is well equipped with all the kitchen and laundry appliances, so it is so convenient to stay even for the long trip stop. Btw, I love the kitchen the most, all the instruments and plates feel so great! 3. The room is very spacious and super clean, the bedding and lining is quite good and very clean! This suit has one bed room and two large sofa, which can accommodate more than 5 people together which is very good for family travel! 4. The owner must be a very nice and kind person, I have left my book under the pillow when we check out, and the owner is so nice to help me to find it and express to next stop, so warm and grateful for that! 5. The restaurant just opposite to the room is very delicious, especially the cod, so yummy! All in all, it is very nice place to stay, definitely will choose it again if come back~

Rooms are not big but the sharing space is huge and comfortable, we love our stay so much! The keybox location is a bit tricky, especially we arrived late and dark, anyhow we are able to locate it. A very well equipped, clean place with modern decor. Upstairs bathroom is designed so several people can use at once which was helpful. Beds were big and very comfortable. The showers were great and we appreciated having a washing machine/dryer combo to use. Harpa was very responsive as we had some difficulty understanding how to use the stove. Although well located as far as a grocery store, gas, a restaurant across the street and getting to scenic locations; it could be somewhat noisy due to the busy road and roundabout that is located next to.

Harpa’s apartment was a fantastic place to stay while exploring the southern coast! It’s beautifully decorated and furnished, and it’s perfect for larger groups with the large living room area. We also really liked how the main bathroom was designed (toilet and shower are in their own separate rooms so multiple people can use the bathroom at the same time). Only regret was not staying here a few more nights to enjoy the space :)

Easy location to get to, great space, and updated. There was some construction noise from below, but assuming that is temporary. This was our group’s favorite place we stayed while in Iceland. We even saw the northern lights from the porch.

Just wow. This house from the minute you walk in is just a stunner. We absolutely loved it and are mad at ourselves for not figuring out a way to use it as a base for more days during our travel in Iceland. Located just off the ring road, within walking distance of a grocery store, pool and disc golf, this place is a gem. It was our favorite stay of our trip, by far. The bathrooms, the bedrooms, the linens, the kitchen, all of it is 15/10 good. Book it now.

WOW! We have stayed in many vacation rentals and this is by far the best. Stylish, well-equipped, spacious, and with the most comfortable beds. There is a very nice bakery across the street with great sandwiches to grab for your excursions. The small grocery there also has everything you could need. The location is in a very small town but it’s a great spot for reaching the Golden Circle, Westman Island, Seljalandsfoss etc. The host was very responsive and helpful. My family would have enjoyed a longer stay there for sure!

Their one noteThe weirdest part is the ‘bank’ entrance. Took us a lil bit of time to find the entrance.

Beautiful place!

The house is beautifully designed & decorated, comfortable beds with premium linens, stunning kitchen & baths, outfitted with luxury SMEG appliances & plenty of pillows and large bath sheets. Pretty much anything you would need is here. Be aware that there is no microwave oven when shopping for local groceries, but there's an induction stove & oven, so not a problem. The property is set on a lovely garden and across the road from 2 small stores if you need to pick up groceries and essentials. If we weren't splitting our time between different areas of Iceland, we'd have booked this house for the entire trip.
